The Godhead is needed for heavy lifting. We will not be able to have our heavy lifting needs met on one Godhead; or say the least, no Godhead at all. It’s safe to say that we will have at least one of the Godheads working with us at all times, even if we are not working with him to his fulness. This is why there are so many members of the body of Christ starting their faith operations, but not finishing many of the operations started. We have to exhaust each Godhead in order to move along in more of the fulness of God. What happens is that we have become so habitual in just using the measure faith, which is given to every man, that most do not even consider the next level faith just waiting to be used. So do we want to just operate like every man, or do we want to operate as a man with power? The men and women that are highlighted in the Bible, could not afford to just operate on the measure of faith given. They would have been doomed way before they boomed. Let’s not be doomed, but let’s have a big boom in the name of the Lord. He died for it.
So what does it mean that “it’s safe to say that we will have at least one of the Godheads working with us at all times, even if we are not working with him to his fulness?” The second person of the Trinity, aka the Godhead, is Jesus Christ, also known as God the Son (the Word): John 1:1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. That’s him, the Word! Now, all of us next level faith members know that this is Jesus, the Word; furthermore, it is this Word that came to earth as the Son of man, the only begotten son of God the Father. John 1:14, And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. So I gave this little background history to say this, once we accept Jesus as our Lord and savior, we always start our walk in the Lord, in the Word; therefore, it is safe to say that we will have at least one of the Godheads working with us at all times by default. There is no other place to start as a member of the body of Christ except you start in the Word himself, Christ Jesus. And furthermore, if one desire to walk in the fulness of the Godhead unto the Father, there is but one way: John 14:6, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Our walk in Christ starts with the Word.
The place where we run into problems with our faith operations is when we let other things take the place of God, and then we come up short. The measure faith given to every man is there to allow us to function in normal society to fulfill our needs. Romans 12:3, For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Now this is what happens as we all extend from the measure of faith that we have, into the things that fill all our voids in the place of God. Let’s take me as an example. Once I had my degree in hand, and some experience to boot, for a long period of time I was walking away with whatever job I applied for. Now, God is pleased for me, it reminds him of his plans for us in the garden to have our needs supplied; however, when I run into a situation in which my degree and experience can’t help me, do I automatically know to look to him, or do I quit my faith operation? So many members of the body of Christ have become so dependent on the measure of faith extensions that we all have, be different as they may, so much to where we are coming up short again and again in our heavy lifting needs. God wants us to use the measure of faith given to us to extend into the benefits, services, talents, and gifts provided for us on earth. Countries like America with so much to offer make it easier, but God wants us not to forget who’s our daddy? Our daddy is always there for us as the extensions from the measure of faith given to every man runs out; and it will run out when needs come that require heavy lifting.
Now let’s look at starting our walk on the word. Let’s say that there is a light weight need to come up, and because of the measure of faith extensions in our lives, the need can be solved pretty quickly. There are credit cards, overtime, stock redemptions, cash from retirement funds, savings for a rainy day, good credit to borrow, moon lighting, six months savings, and on and on along with some extensions that should be reconsidered. We all have so many options that we have developed from the measure of faith extensions to tap into for the need to be supplied with little or no problem. I called them light weight needs because I can already handle them my self. This need being supplied by our extensions from our measure faith, keeps us in the word Godhead; and matter fact, we didn’t even need a word for that particular need. We may have prayed or mentioned it to the Lord; and then we went and got what was needed it since it was there ready to be gotten. Now let’s say there is a heavy weight need to come up, meaning that the measure of faith extensions in our lives had not provided the resources to solve the need at this time. What do we do now? Of course we pray and talk to the Lord, and then what? Many of us start checking with our people that we call on when in a big pinch. What the Lord wants us to do is to first be sure to exhaust the Word Godhead to supply the need in the same way in which we look to exhaust the extensions from the measure of faith given to us all. The two are not the same, although they both come from the use of our faith. The difference, however, is a big one. We make a selection from choices offer, we choose from knowledge already known, or we agree to an offer made to us from the measure of faith given to us for the extension. On the other hand, when we learn to exhaust the Word Godhead to supply the need, we will move to make a selection to supply our need based on what we hear as it is based on the word of God made to us. Now, if we do not hear a selection in which we believe at the time of hearing, then we need to look for assistance from the next Godhead to help supply the need. This is where knowing how to walk in the Godhead is a must in order to have the fulness of God.
We need to know how to walk in the Godhead to receive the supply we need when there are no resource extensions for us to supply the need at the measure of faith level. When we arrive at this point, we need to know to ride it out with the Godhead; and not search the world over to fill the need on our own. It is the work of the Godhead to search the world over for us; and then have us to hear it when our supply comes to us. The Lord wants us looking and depending on the fulness of God to supply our need, and not looking and depending on the world system to supply our need; although, the spiritual process does use the inventories of earth to give us what we need. When we begin to walk in the Godhead, it is not going to just happen based on our hope. Faith substance is activated by our hope, but walking in the Godhead is an intentional movement on our part to be in sync with the movement of God. It is like driving a stick shift to a large degree: all the gears are there and working good, but you must move the stick into the next gear needed if the car is to respond as you hope it would. If we don’t move our gear into the next move made by the current Godhead, we will not have the response in which we had hoped for. The stick shift or manual car, is actually easier to drive than the Godhead will be; but it is our way to walk in the fulness of God. It pleased the Father that we now had access to all of the fulness of God here on earth: Colossians 1:19 & 2:9, For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell: 2:9, For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. It pleased God for the members of the body to have access to the fulness of God through the Godhead. I will talk about how to walk in the Godhead in the next post, and once you know how to move in and out of the Godheads, the stick shift will become your best friend, metaphorically speaking.
