The Father has told us what he needs from us, but I am not sure if we understand the application of it. We know that God says to keep his commandments, but that is not truly what’s behind the one thing that he needs from us. Well, we can also say that the Father needs us to love him, but that is not truly what’s behind the one thing that he needs from us since it was he who first loved us. We have actually made our Christian walk more of a burden at times then it is suppose to be by not understanding the application of what is needed from us. The Son has made it clear that in its basic application, for his part in what the Father needs from us, that he has made his yoke easy, and his burden light: Matthew 11:28-30, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” If the most important part, coming to Jesus, will give us rest as his yoke is easy, and his burden is light; then the one thing that the Father needs from us must be true to this form. So Yeah, What Does Father Need From Us?
So how can what the Father needs from us be true to this form, that Jesus yoke is easy, and his burden is light? Now keep in mind that God did not say that we didn’t have to work hitherto with him, for Jesus has shown that working with the Father is part of what the Father needs from us: John 5:17, “But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.” We can see that Jesus does give us the word that the Father worketh hitherto, and we work. The Father will always get the party started hitherto for us to then come in and finish up. Jesus is God made visible, but our role is to make God visible as we give him what he needs while taking upon us the easy yoke, and light burden of Christ Jesus. The one thing that the Father needs from us is faith, for without faith we can not please God: Hebrews 11:6, But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” So how do we go to work with the Father to make him visible, while taking on the easy yoke, and light burden of Christ Jesus? Romans 14:23, “And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” There it is right there in the scripture, for he that doubteth is damned: the one thing that the Father needs from us is to have faith in which we believe in order to please him. It is clear here, and throughout scripture that if we have faith in which we do not believe, then it is impossible to please God; and then we will also take on a yoke that is not easy along with a burden that is not light. So Yeah, What Does Father Need From Us?
So what was the one thing that Jesus gave to us since the beginning when God created the heaven and the earth? Jesus gave us the word, and the word was life: John 1:3-4, “All things were made by him (the word); and without him was not any thing made that was made.4 In him (the word) was life; and the life was the light of men.” We sometimes lay to the side that the death on the cross was not Jesus first rodeo, and that he was with the Father before the world was helping to create the heaven and the earth: John 17:5, “And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.” The time did come for Jesus to go to the cross, and he was the word made flesh, or Jesus to do the Will of the Father. Jesus still brings us the word, and just like with weight lifting, we must decide on how much word to lift: if we try to lift too much weight, then the weight’s yoke will not be easy, and its burden will not be light. If we try and lift too much word, then the Word’s yoke will not be easy, and its burden will not be light. How does this come to give the Father the one thing that he needs? The hard yoke, and the heavy burden are taken on when we take on the Word in doubt and disbelief; therefore, we are not able to give the Father the faith that he needs without sinning. So Yeah, What Does Father Need From Us?
When we do something in which we do not believe that the Father can reward us in, then to do it anyway is to sin with that faith action turning out to be an exercise in futility: Matthew 21:21, “Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.” So when the word comes to us, do not try to lift a word with doubt and disbelief for it will not be easy, nor will it be light. Then if you take this too heavy word with doubt and disbelief unto the Father to lift it up unto him, he will not be pleased. We must remember application when it comes to the word and faith: what is faith? Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” And how does faith come? Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” In order to have your yoke easy, and your burden light when it comes to taking on the Word from Jesus, then you must be patient to wait for your pitch as they say in baseball: don’t swing at every ball or every substance that comes across the plate. We want to stand in the box until we hear the substance in which we believe in come across the plate before we take it on us; and then we take that faith to the Father in order to please him. Jesus does not make us take on word that is too heavy for us with doubt and disbelief; no, we do that when we become impatient. And a word that might be too heavy for one, may be just right for another: so wait for the faith substance to come in which you believe, and then go take it to the Father and please him.
